Chicago Pillows began with a simple intention: to create body pillows that truly support the human body — and the planet. In 1988, while exploring natural materials for comfort and alignment, we discovered the silky-soft fiber of the Kapok Tree, a majestic rainforest tree known as the "Tree of Life." That discovery sparked a lifelong dedication to crafting sustainable, supportive pillows for sleep, recovery, and relaxation.

Our founder hand-stitched the first pillows in a small Chicago apartment, stuffing them with kapok by hand and listening to real people’s stories — athletes recovering from injuries, pregnant women seeking relief, children who needed something comforting to hold. What began as a personal project grew into a community movement.

Today, Chicago Pillows continues that legacy with a line of natural kapok body pillows and pillow covers, handmade in the USA using pure organic cotton and ethically harvested kapok fiber. We believe in functional beauty — designs that look good, feel better, and last a long time. No synthetics, no shortcuts, just honest materials and thoughtful design.
